Azul Conservation has been working with Sea Turtle Rescue Nicaragua (STRN) since 2016. Together we have helped the program expand to release c.16,000 baby turtles from the hatchery each year and have designed the countries first head-start program.

STRN has been operating in the Padre Ramos Reserve since 2010 and is always looking for volunteers to help.

Sea Shepherd Operation Jairojairo-logo-Nicaragua

In 2018 Sea Shepherd launched their first program in Nicaragua through the help of Azul Conservation and STRN. Sea Shepherd’s Jairo campaign is based out of the STRN facility in Padre Ramos and operates bi-annually.

GIVE Volunteers have been working with Azul Conservation since 2016. Together we have designed a bespoke 2 week program that runs from May through to September. This program gives volunteers a basic understanding of all the marine conservation efforts in the country and is a great way for people to learn to dive and gain experience of marine science.
